Six Scout.com nationally rated linebackers were named to the Team USA squad for the '13 International Bowl. The team will compete 8 p.m. CT Feb. 5 – the night before National Signing Day – in the fourth annual International Bowl in Austin, Texas.

Linebackers Justin Bridges-Thompson of Spartanburg (S.C.) High School, Sammy Douglas of Arlington (Texas) High School, Ben Gedeon of Hudson (Ohio) High School, Cory Jasudowich of Cheshire (Conn.) Academy, Delando Johnson of Baltimore Calvert Hall College High School and Doug Randolph of Woodberry Forest (Va.) High School have been selected to play on the 2013 U.S. Under-19 National Team, assembled by USA Football.

Bridges-Thompson, a 6-foot-2, 190-pounder is rated as the No. 68 outside linebacker prospect nationally by Scout.com and a two-star prospect. He is verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with UNC-Charlotte.

Douglas, a 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is rated as the No. 28 outside linebacker recruit nationally by Scout.com and a three-star prospect. He is verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with TCU.

Gedeon, a 6-foot-2, 200-pounder is rated as the No. 14 outside linebacker recruit nationally by Scout.com and a four-star prospect. He is verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with Michigan.

Jasudowich, a 6-foot-2, 235-pounder is rated as the No. 51 middle linebacker recruit nationally by Scout.com and a three-star prospect. He is verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with Connecticut.

Johnson, a 6-foot-2, 185-pounder is rated as the No. 32 safety recruit nationally by Scout.com and a three-star prospect, but is slated to play linebacker in the post-season bowl. He is undecided on which college he will attend and currently has offers from Boston College, Illinois and Wake Forest.

Randolph, a 6-foot-3, 214-pounder is rated as the No. 31 outside linebacker recruit nationally by Scout.com and three-star prospect. He is verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with Notre Dame.

Bridges-Thompson, Douglas and Jasudowich were members of the 2012 U.S. National Team that competed for the IFAF Under-19 World Championship this past summer.

The International Bowl is an annual competition that pits Team USA vs IFAF World Team. Both teams will field a roster of 45 players. Team USA’s players and coaches are selected by USA Football.

The U.S. Under-19 team is 7-2 in international play, including 2-1 in the International Bowl. The World Team won, 35-29, last February in Austin.

A national team exemption granted by the NCAA allows high school seniors to play for USA Football and not have their participation count as one of their two permitted all-star game appearances. The International Bowl is recognized as a national team competition.
