As expected, Alabama has announced a football series with Colorado State, with the first meeting taking place Sept. 21, 2013.

Next September will be a Homecoming of sorts for Jim McElwain as the former Alabama assistant will face his old team when Colorado State comes to Tuscaloosa.

As expected, Alabama has announced a football series with Colorado State, with the first game taking place in Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 21, 2013.

McElwain, who was the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator from 2008-11, has just finished up his first season as the Rams head coach. CSU finished the year 4-8, 3-5 Mountain West.

The next meeting between the two schools has yet to be determined, but will take place during either the 2015 or 2017 season.

This agreement between Alabama and Colorado State completes the Tide’s 2013 schedule.
