Outlaw Has TCU on Top After Visit

The big lineman from Lithonia, GA was in Ft. Worth this weekend and the Horned Frogs blew him away. Outlaw says TCU is #1 for him with time winding down until signing day.

The TCU Horned Frogs were hoping for a commitment from Joshua Outlaw this weekend. While Outlaw didn't pull the trigger on a commitment, he did put the Frogs firmly in the lead following his trip to Ft. Worth. HornedFrogBlitz.com caught up with Outlaw who was visiting with high school teammate DeMarquis Polite-Bray. What were his thoughts on TCU?

"It was great, on a scale of 1-10 I definitely give it a 10" said Outlaw. "I was out there with my teammate Jordan Moore and Zach Jackson, he's from Atlanta too, and we had a great time."

"It was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it" he said. "I'm really looking forward to checking out TCU more, we'll see how the next visit goes but they're going to be tough to beat."

Ranked as the #26 guard in the country by Scout.com, Outlaw says the TCU staff has told him he would play left tackle if he commits to the Frogs. The one time Florida commit holds offers from some of the top programs in the country including Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, South Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA, Texas Tech and of course TCU. Outlaw says he'll decide after his visit to Texas Tech, coming up on February 1st.

"I've got one visit left to Texas Tech coming up on the 1st" he said. "But TCU is number one right now and I'll make my decision after the Tech visit."

With TCU sitting in the driver's seat, Texas Tech has a lot of ground to make up. Outlaw went on to discuss what made his trip to Ft. Worth so memorable.

"The facilities were amazing, they were newly renovated" said Outlaw. "They can definitely compete with the schools in the SEC I've seen and they were definitely awesome."

With such a glaring need on the offensive line, Outlaw would fill a need from day one. The coaching staff told him that they would play him at left tackle and that was music to his ears.

"They told me I would be a left tackle for them and that's where I want to play" he said. "They said I could come in and compete right away so I really liked that and I think I can compete as soon as I get there.

With his visit to Tech upcoming, Outlaw has a tough decision to make. The good news for TCU fans is the Frogs made a great impression and Outlaw is very close with Jordan Moore.
