What makes Carter an impact player?
One word; leadership. Sam Carter is a coach on the field and the unquestioned leader of the secondary. At 6'1" 215 pounds, Carter strikes fear in opposing ball carriers and has shown he can play the run and pass equally well. After filling up the stat sheet to the tune of 63 tackles, 6.5 TFL, 4 INT's, 10 PBU's and 1 FF, it's blatantly obvious that Carter is where he's supposed to be on the field and he routinely makes big plays for the defense. Heading into the 2013 season, TCU will lean heavily on Carter's leadership and work ethic as he helps usher in a talented group of young secondary members. A sure fire NFL player, Carter's film study is well documented and his lead by example style has been infectious. TCU has big plans for 2013 and Sam Carter is leading the way from his safety spot in the offseason workouts. With fall camp just around the corner, Carter is ready to crank it up and help lead TCU to a memorable year two of Big 12 play.
