After an up and down year offensively, TCU will hire Doug Meacham as its offensive coordinator.

A source confirmed to Horned Frog Blitz on Tuesday that TCU will hire Doug Meacham as its next offensive coordinator. Meacham held the same position in 2012 at the University of Houston.

Meacham will likely take over play calling duties, something that was handled by Jarrett Anderson and Rusty Burns.

Before spending a year at Houston, Meacham coached at Oklahoma State where he served as inside receivers/tight ends coach and passing game coordinator.

Stay tuned to Horned Frog Blitz for more, and be sure to follow @AlexAppleDFW and @JClarkHFB for more.

Update: KRIV in Houston is reporting that Meacham has been offered the TCU job but has yet to accept it.
