The 6-foot-4, 250-pounders holds offers from Baylor, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Washington State and TCU among many others. Auburn and Alabama are showing heavy interest in the Lone Star state's top defensive end.
Lockhart has plenty of options to choose from.
TCU was among the earliest programs to offer Lockhart a scholarship, extending an offer last summer during an unofficial visit. However, Lockhart told HornedFrogBlitz.com a few weeks ago that the Frogs were slipping among his top schools.
That changed over the weekend however as Lockhart made the short drive to TCU to attend the Frogs second junior day. It was a visit that was needed for both Lockhart and TCU coaches.
"It went good," Lockhart said. "They answered a lot of questions for me."
"He said he likes me and he's more of a defensive guy," he said. "They also only signed one DE from Missouri (last year) so they would love to have another one on the team."
Lockhart admitted that the Frogs did some catching up to the other schools after his visit.
"Things have turned around a little bit where I don't know where I'm going," Lockhart said. "I like Texas, I like Baylor, I likeTCU. I just think I'm going to go with it slow for a bit to try and see where I want to be at."
Lockhart doesn't have any visits planned for this weekend but plans to attend junior days at Auburn and Alabama in the coming weeks.
"I'll have to check my calendar, but I don't think I have any schools this coming weekend," he said. "I know on the 22nd I'm going to Auburn and on March 1st I've got Alabama."
