Commitment Live Report: Semaj Thomas

TCU commit Semaj Thomas and his teammates opened the 2014 season on Friday night.

TCU commit Semaj Thomas and his Southwest teammates opened the 2014 season on Friday night and HornedFrogBlitz.com was there to catch the action.

EYEBALL TEST:

At 6-foot-2, 230-pounds, Thomas is hard to miss and has the perfect size for a linebacker at the next level.

GAME EVAL:

Although Southwest lost 44-21 to Saginaw Boswell, Thomas recorded a team-high 10 tackles and had 2 tackles for loss. Thomas drew several double teams on the night but was able to make plays for the Raiders. Boswell made it a point to either double up on Thomas or run away from him altogether. Although he missed a few tackles, he made several key stops by using his speed and pure strength to blow up a block. He's definitely not afraid to put his head in the middle of a pile to cause havoc. Thomas is definitely worthy of his top 15 ranking among linebackers in the nation.
