Accoring to reports senior running back Aaron Brown, who missed the first three games of the season, has been cleared to play against SMU. Brown along with freshman safety Sir Demarco Bledsoe have been sitting out for violating school policy. It is unknown when Bledsoe will be back.

Brown was the Mountain West Conference Preseason Player of the Year in 2007, but was hampered with injuries throughout the year. He only finished with 490 yards after rushing for over 800 yards the season before.

TCU's traditional running attack has not seemed to miss a beat with Brown gone. Ryan Christian and Joseph Turner have combined for 297 yards and 6 touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Andy Dalton has also got heavily involved in the running game with a total of 163 yards through three games.
