TCU tailback Aaron Brown will play in the Jan. 17 East-West Shrine Game at
Robertson Stadium in Houston.
Brown will give the Horned Frogs two players in the contest. Linebacker
Jason Phillips accepted an invitation earlier this month.
Brown ranks second in the nation with a 31.9 kickoff return average. He had
an 85-yard touchdown against Wyoming in addition to 75- and 56-yard returns
versus Oklahoma and BYU, respectively.
A senior from Katy, Texas, Brown is TCU's 10th-leading career rusher with
2,494 yards. He posted his sixth career 100-yard game with 106 yards on 15
carries at Utah. Brown's 79 career receptions top all active Horned Frogs.
Despite missing three games this season, Brown leads TCU with 1,042
The East-West Shrine Game features many of the top players in the nation and
raises money for Shriners Hospitals for Children, an international health
care system of 22 hospitals across North America.
Brown will play for the West team, coached by Gene Stallings. Bobby Ross
will coach the East squad.
